All About Reece!

Just a few updates on my big boy! Reece is really beginning to be a great big brother, he's starting to warm up to Blake. He still gets a little jealous, but he really has no problem sharing a lap or a recliner with Blake. He realized yesterday that he could make Blake giggle, and he had a blast doing just that. His speech is really coming along and he continues to add words to his vocabulary. He recognizes a variety of shapes and most letters. When he sees letters he knows, he points to the letter, says it and signs it! He loves to point out every car he sees (currently all vehicles are cars). He helps us get him dressed (and undressed at bath time) and he can point out some body parts. Reece's favorite toys are still anything wheels and he loves to play with his "coo coos" (trains) upstairs. He is a great kid and I am thrilled to be his Mommy!

4 Month Checkup

Blake had his four month checkup yesterday and he's doing very well. He's meeting all of his milestones, he's smiling, giggling, grabbing at things and reacting to voices. He also rolled over from his back to his tummy right after his appointment! His four month stats are as follows, weight 14 lb 3 oz., height 25 1/2" and his head is 16 1/2" around.
He had to have 3 shots, he cried for less than a minute and smiled at the nurse who had to give him the shots as we were walking out of the exam room!
He is a wonderful baby and I hope his cheerful disposition continues. He makes such a wonderful addition to our family!

Zoo Visit

Last Friday, Reece, Blake and I met our friends Sheila and Russ at the zoo. We had a wonderful time, although I think Reece was more interested in pointing out the letters on the signs than looking at the animals! He's learning his letters at daycare and can recognize quite a few of them. The weather was beautiful, sunny and warm. I'm really looking forward to this summer (and more zoo trips)!
