Rolling, Sitting, and Baths

Blake has hit a few milestones recently, he's been rolling over for quite some time now. Recently, however he's been rolling with a purpose! He's rolling to get to a toy or to his brother or just across the room. He's also started sitting by himself. He's fairly steady until he sees something he wants! Then, PLOP, he's on the ground rolling to whatever has his attention. We've also started solid food. Since he really seems interested in what we're having for dinner, we figured it was time. He does pretty well with it so far, he's had rice cereal, banana, apple and a little watermelon.
Since Blake has been sitting, I decided to put him in the tub with Reece a few days ago. To my pleasant surprise, Reece loved it! Of course the first thing he points out is Blake's "pee-pee". (I've learned the obsession begins at birth.) Reece helped rinse Blake off and played with him, talked to him and really seemed to enjoy it, and of course Blake loves any attention Reece gives him.
There is always something going on with two little boys in the house!

Wedding Weekend

Tyler and I had the privilege of being in the Berger-Marshall wedding! Our wonderful friends finally decided to tie the knot! Stacy was a beautiful bride, it was a beautiful ceremony and we had a wonderful time! The added benefit was that my mom was in town to watch the kiddos! My sister also came into town a few days after my mom arrived. We had a great time enjoying each others company and Tyler and I enjoyed the help with the boys. Plus my mom bought me a massaged and my sister watched Reece and Blake while I enjoyed the rub down! It turned out to be a wonderful week!

Mother's Day

Lately things have been really hectic and Mother's Day was no exception. It all started last weekend which was our good friend, Stacy's Bachelorette party and while it was lots of fun, it came with a price tag of a night of less than four hours of sleep. Tyler has also been planning Aaron's (Stacy's fiance) Bachelor party. This ended up on Mother's Day. Of course Tyler didn't originally plan this but sometimes you just have to roll with it. We had a nice dinner with the kids at Cantina Laredo. I do think my gift more than made up for the unfortunate lack of celebration and relaxation. Tyler bought a new necklace to represent my two babies! I absolutely love it!

We also got a grill for Tyler's birthday/Father's day, and since he does use that to cook dinner for me pretty often, I definitely count that as a small gift for me too (especially the nights that I don't have to cook)!

Next up on the calendar is hosting a going away party for friends on Friday followed by the big wedding the next Friday! It is going to be quite a whirlwind but it will also be a blast and I can't wait to see our wonderful friends be married and I am so happy to be a part of it!
